تقول الأم موصية ابنتها وهي على فراش الموت: يا يمَّه، لا تذِلي من بَعِدْنا* ولا توَطِّي المنافِس من بَعدْنا* هذا نَصيبنا، وهذا وَعدْنا وهذا اللي كتَبُه رَبِّ السَّما

On her deathbed, the mother advises her daughter: My daughter, do not let yourself be humiliated after I am gone And do not lower the brazier-stands after we are gone This is our fate, and this is our promise And this is what the Lord of the heavens has written
