O my ailment
يا علَّتي
يا علَّتي بجُوشَني، ما أَطُولْهَا*
لو اني أطولها، داويتها، وابريت*
لوَ طبيبِ الحَيِّ يداوي عِلَّتُه
كان داويتها، وابرِيتِ
My ailment is in my chest, I cannot reach it
If I could reach it, I would treat it and heal it
If the neighborhood doctor could cure his own ailment
He would have treated it and healed it
